Project Realm Demos
Project Realm is a 2-4 player deckbuilder where the core mechanic is based around units with three different stats - might, money and magic. Using these stats, players compete for 5-7 tiles each round. Winning a tile yields a certain amount of influence which can be used to purchase more powerful units. The game ends when any player fulfills two of five objective cards, which come from their own deck and change each game.

Brinkwood - A Forged in the Dark Game
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

The world is not as it should be. The rich feed, literally, upon the poor, as blood-sucking vampires who barely bother to conceal their horrific, parasitic nature. The downtrodden peoples of the world struggle under the burdens of rent, payable through the sweat of their labor or the blood of their veins. Evil has triumphed. Many have given in to despair. But all is not lost.

In Brinkwood, a Forged in the Dark game, you take on the role of renegades, thieves, and rebels struggling for freedom and liberation in a castylpunk world controlled by vampires. Radicalized by tragedy, you have taken up arms and fled into the forests, where you were taken in by unlikely allies – the fae, forgotten creatures of myth – who offered a different path and the means to fight back against your oppressors.

Masks, forged of old wood and older magic, are the final tool left to fight a war long ago lost. If you wear them, they will take their price, etching themselves upon your very soul. But they will also let you spill the blood of the rich and powerful vampires that now rule the land, and from that blood strengthen yourself and your movement.

Open Door, Script Change and Lines/Veils safety tools will be used.

Feng Shui 2: The Valley Under Siege
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

The Valley of the Fertile Winds, blessed by the Monkey King, has been a place of peace and prosperity, while the world outside the valley has been engulfed in war. Now, though, war has come to the Valley. Burning Storm's army, under the command of General Gale has laid siege to the Valley. General Gale can't get his army through the passes into the Valley, and the much smaller forces of the Valley can't break the siege. This stalemate has existed for 2 years.

Now something has changed. Beloved Priest, the Monkey King's representative to the Valley has fallen deathly ill. Perhaps even worse, the winds that sweep down from the mountains have stopped and for the first time in anyone's memory, there is famine in the Valley.

The Valley can't lift the siege, but a small team may be able to sneak through the lines, and find out what has happened to the Fertile Winds, and restore them.

Feng Shui 2 is a game of cinematically gratuitous violence. Just bring three six-sided dice of different colors.

13th Age Glorantha: The Horn of Snakepipe Hollow
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

According to a minor Orlanthi myth, a human warrior once sounded a magical horn to rally the forces of order against an incursion of Chaos creatures from Snakepipe Hollow. The myth is typically easy to replicate, with no combat necessary. Unfortunately, the last quester who walked the myth was turned back by Chaos creatures that had spread too far or arrived in the myth too early. The people of Alda-Chur near Snakepipe Hollow need heroquesters to face the new dangers in this myth and fix it.

Enter Glorantha, Greg Stafford’s classic fantasy world of richly imagined cultures, ferocious combat, and colliding mythologies. 13th Age Glorantha is a new setting for 13th Age, Rob Heinsoo and Jonathan Tweet’s d20-rolling game of heroic fantasy, escalating combat, One Unique Things, and limb-ripping owlbears.

Finity Demos
Finity is an abstract strategy game based on finite state machines.
The board is made up of interlocking hexagonal "stations". The goal of the game is to create a path of bridges from station to station that matches a randomly selected shared binary pattern, while protecting your own path from sabotage by other players and while looking for ways to attack your opponents' paths.
Players take turns positioning black and white bridge arrows (shared resources) or their own player pieces. Player rings may only be placed where a legal partial path leads from the player's own base post. If an opponent undermines this path, the player's rings are removed from the board.
The game is dynamic, deeply strategic, and highly competitive. In the 3 and 4 player variations, additional strategic aspects of forming temporary alliances or fomenting discord between one's opponents also become important aspects of the game play.

RISE OF THE GODS is a two-player tabletop card game set in the fantastical world of Palandoras. Many heroes and adventurers call this place home, as do a wide array of beasts, elemental beings, shambling undead, devious alchemists, vindictive sorcerers . . . and countless more astounding characters. But above all else resides a pantheon of almighty gods, sometimes intervening in the affairs of the mortal world, and sometimes ignoring their cries for help altogether . . .
IN THE GAME, players battle each other as they try to earn Favor from a god of their choice. The field is where the action takes place, comprised of 16 spaces. The spaces where you decide to place your cards must be chosen wisely, because wherever they are on the field determines how your cards interact with others—including your opponent.

Pre-generated characters will be available, but players are welcome to roll their own custom character if they desire. All materials needed for the game will be provided by the GM.

In this module, the vicious gnoll warrior lord "Gritznak the Bold" has taken up residence near the small frontier village of Malforten. He has been demanding tributes from the village with increasing frequency, even going as far as abducting its citizens if his demands cannot be met. Helpless to handle this threat themselves, the village has offered up a bounty for the gnoll's head, which our party of adventurers will seek to claim.

Cthulhu Wars
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Cthulhu Wars is a highly asymmetrical board game in which players, rather than trying to stop ancient and unspeakable horrors from being unleashed into the world, are the ancient and unspeakable horrors fighting each other for dominion over the Earth. Each round, players will gather power based on how many gates they control and how many human cultists they have on the board, then use that power to move, summon monsters, fight, conquer gates, and unlock spell-books that give each faction even more unique abilities.

A game of Cthulhu Wars usually takes about 30 minutes to teach, and about 60-90 minutes to play. In my experience, new players often spend the first game figuring out their faction, and are often caught unawares by the special powers of the other factions. It is my intention to teach the game, and then play two or three games with the same group (thus the long play length time), giving players a chance to really see what the game is all about.

Going Mainstream
So, you’ve dabbled in indy games – maybe even produced one or two. But maybe you also have a secret hankering to work for “the establishment.” How easy is it to work in both fields, or move from one to the other? What can indy games teach the mainstream, and vice versa? And how clear is that demarcation these days with the rising availability of professional-level self-publishing tools and the existence of the DM’s Guild and the Miskatonic Repository?

Beyond #MeToo: Resources for Dealing With Sexual Violence and Harassment
Limited Capacity seats available

There's no denying that sexual harassment, sexual assault, and intimate partner violence are serious problems in both the gaming industry and the gaming community at large. It's easy for outsiders to say "go to HR" or "go to the police," but those may not be viable or even desired options for all victims. This panel of legal and advocacy experts will provide information on a variety of non-criminal legal options, as well as community resources to help victims find safety and support. We will be focusing as much as possible on low cost or no cost solutions, and legal responses that do not require an attorney. This panel is for anyone who may be experiencing, or has experienced, sexual violence, no matter their gender or sexual orientation. We also welcome anyone who wants to learn about options to help friends or family who are victims and may not feel comfortable attending themselves. Attendees will be provided with information packets for reference, and we will also have a system for asking questions anonymously during the Q&A section of the panel.

Due to the sensitive nature of this topic there will be no photography allowed in the panel room for the duration of the session.

You have learned that a dragon has been terrorizing the town of Ashford, in the western provinces. Well, “terrorizing” is too strong of a word, annoying is probably better. A call was put out for some idiots... err, brave adventurers to come and deal with the dragon. And you Scrub Lords have valiantly volunteered your services. (The 5,000 gold coin reward was never even considered… Uh-huh)

Upwind RPG
Limited Capacity seats available

Imagine Bakshi’s classic animated film Wizards has a head-on collision with Disney’s Treasure Planet and the resulting fire was put out with a whole lot of Studio Ghibli’s Castle in the Sky. That, in an unexpected, animated mash-up is Upwind.

Explorer Knights patrol uncharted skies among the countless floating skylands of the Kingdoms in the Light. Their unique training has honed them into the greatest scholars, engineers and warriors in the Realms. Ancient technology, wondrous creatures, dangerous foes and the remnants of the DownFall are salvaged, challenged and explored by the Guild. The relics of a lost science and the hope they hold for the future lie waiting in the ruins of the Twilight Frontier.

The drifting kingdoms of the Kin are proud, contentious nations, diverse in history, tradition and belief. The dangerous routes between are plied by daring merchantmen and patrolled by Guild warships against pirates, sky dragons and the Children of the Dark. This ancient, enigmatic enemy again raids upwind of the Frontier and threatens all the Kin have rebuilt. Broadsides roar, Arc cannons spit lightning, Knights turn the very elements against their enemies and the Explorer Guild’s defiant fleet is all that stands between the Dark and the Light.

Upwind is a narrative RPG powered by the Q system, a stakes-based, playing card-driven mechanic that gives every encounter consequences with meaningful, story-building outcomes. With its simple bidding rules, Upwind plays as fast as you can tell your story.

Also, let’s get real about racism in our settings and campaigns, talk about what we can do to stamp it out as much as possible in a land where elves, orcs, and dragons roam but racism seems to be a never-ending boss battle.

Sorcerer
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Sorcerer is a 2-4 player dark fantasy game from the creators of Star Realms. It combines the best elements of a strategy card game and a tactical board game to create a whole new play experience!

Each game you will create a unique sorcerer by combining a Character Deck, a Lineage Deck, and a Domain Deck. Shuffle them together to form your grimoire (which contains your dark magic and evil minions) and you are ready to play!

Each deck also comes with a skill card. Together, they show your true name. For example, you might be Ariaspes the Demonologist of the Outcast Sanctuary.

Each turn of the game, players alternate spending actions to play spells, draw cards, gain energy, or play minions.

There are three different battlefields in the game representing different sections of Victorian London. When you play a minion, you must decide which battlefield to put it into. It may only attack and use its abilities in that battlefield. If you later decide you need it elsewhere, you may spend an action to move it to a neighboring battlefield.

After all player actions have been spent, minions do battle, rolling battle dice equal to their attack, damaging or destroying enemy minions, or even capturing the battlefield itself. If you capture 2 of the 3 battlefields, you win the game!

Car Wars 3D Tournament Final
Car Wars 3-D Tournament

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT. IT IS THE FINALS, AND YOU MUST WIN ONE OF THE QUALIFIERS TO PLAY IN THE FINALS.

He triggered the rear guns once more. A direct hit! The blue car skidded as the driver lost control – then flipped and caught fire. That would teach him not to tailgate . . .

Car Wars is the game of the freeways of the future, where the right of way goes to the biggest guns. Players build vehicles complete with weapons, armor, power plants, and more. Then they take them out on the desolate roads, or maybe the brightly lit arenas, to come home as "aces," or to crash and burn.
The battlefield for the tournament is a 3-D arena upscaled from the Classic game.
No experience is necessary to play, both rookie duelists and veteran aces are welcome. Designs will be provided.

This tournament features 4 qualifier rounds, starting at 9, 11:30, 2, and 4:30, with a maximum of 8 players per round. Play in as many or as few qualifier games as you'd like - they are standalone games. The top two finishers from each qualifier round earn a seat at the final at 7.

Finalists may bring their own Division 30 arena-legal design (with 50 point characters) if they wish or use one provided by the host.
The overall victor of the tournament will take home a trophy to commemorate the event!

Rise of the Gods Demos

Castles & Crusades - The Wizard's Tower
Limited Capacity seats available

Castles & Crusades is a tabletop RPG with an old-school feel, known mostly for its easy to grasp rule set. This game should be suitable for players of any experience level. Pre-generated characters are available, but players are welcome to roll their own custom character if they desire. The GM will provide all necessary materials for the game.

In this module, our adventurers visit the village of Lead Hill, which has become the target of many hauntings as of late. While it all started with some rather innocuous mischief-making, the hauntings have escalated recently and have resulted in the deaths of a few village residents. Normally, the villagers would seek the aid of the wizard Andru, who lives in a great stone tower that overlooks the village. However, he has been curiously absent, and the villagers are desperate for help. They are offering a reward to anyone that can help subdue the evil presence and save their village from further mayhem.

Rise of the Gods Demos
