Hasty Baker Demos
Hasty Baker is a card game where you compete to collect the ingredients for your recipes. The recipe cards are a variety of delicious desserts and the ingredient cards are various ingredients portrayed as goofy characters.

Be warned, ingredients aren't the only cards in the deck! Cards like Steal Ingredient and Spoil Ingredient can change the game real quick. Make someone cook a double batch to slow them down. Those are some of the ways you can strategically sabotage other players to give yourself an advantage in this baking competition style game.

Brinkwood - A Forged in the Dark Game
Limited Capacity filling up

The world is not as it should be. The rich feed, literally, upon the poor, as blood-sucking vampires who barely bother to conceal their horrific, parasitic nature. The downtrodden peoples of the world struggle under the burdens of rent, payable through the sweat of their labor or the blood of their veins. Evil has triumphed. Many have given in to despair. But all is not lost.

In Brinkwood, a Forged in the Dark game, you take on the role of renegades, thieves, and rebels struggling for freedom and liberation in a castylpunk world controlled by vampires. Radicalized by tragedy, you have taken up arms and fled into the forests, where you were taken in by unlikely allies – the fae, forgotten creatures of myth – who offered a different path and the means to fight back against your oppressors.

Masks, forged of old wood and older magic, are the final tool left to fight a war long ago lost. If you wear them, they will take their price, etching themselves upon your very soul. But they will also let you spill the blood of the rich and powerful vampires that now rule the land, and from that blood strengthen yourself and your movement.

Open Door, Script Change and Lines/Veils safety tools will be used.

Finity Demos
Finity is an abstract strategy game based on finite state machines.
The board is made up of interlocking hexagonal "stations". The goal of the game is to create a path of bridges from station to station that matches a randomly selected shared binary pattern, while protecting your own path from sabotage by other players and while looking for ways to attack your opponents' paths.
Players take turns positioning black and white bridge arrows (shared resources) or their own player pieces. Player rings may only be placed where a legal partial path leads from the player's own base post. If an opponent undermines this path, the player's rings are removed from the board.
The game is dynamic, deeply strategic, and highly competitive. In the 3 and 4 player variations, additional strategic aspects of forming temporary alliances or fomenting discord between one's opponents also become important aspects of the game play.

Mount Fuji is on the verge of erupting. Red hot lava will soon consume the three secret Seien-ji (聖煙寺), sacred temples hidden deep in the bowels of the volcano. The Shōgun is determined to preserve the precious heritage and sends his most noble and gifted samurai  warriors on a quest inside the volcano to retrieve the valuable goods.
After a grueling climb through snowstorms and treacherous rocky terrain the samurai find the entrance that leads down into the cavern.
The volcano rumbles and the walls start shaking! The floor underneath their feet crumbles and our brave samurai fall into the huge cavern that contains the three temples, which are slowly sinking into the smoldering lava.
It is now up to our heroes to explore the cavern and find as many of the relics, sacred scrolls, and monks as possible, to bring back safely to the Shogun before the volcano erupts and all is lost forever.
Fuji Koro can be played in a competitive mode with 2 to 6 players or a cooperative mode with 1 to 6 players.

One card allows you to build new outposts, one allows you to purchase new cards to add to your hand, one allows you take all of your previously played cards back into your hand, and so forth. Each of these cards (including ones you purchase) is also worth victory points at the end of the game (usually based on where you’ve built your outposts).

This sessions will not include any of the various Concordia expansions, and is aimed at new players. I also have a game of Concordia Venus set up for Sunday that requires Concordia experience. So, if you really want to learn it all, you could sign up for both, learning the base game here and the Venus expansion on Sunday.

RISE OF THE GODS is a two-player tabletop card game set in the fantastical world of Palandoras. Many heroes and adventurers call this place home, as do a wide array of beasts, elemental beings, shambling undead, devious alchemists, vindictive sorcerers . . . and countless more astounding characters. But above all else resides a pantheon of almighty gods, sometimes intervening in the affairs of the mortal world, and sometimes ignoring their cries for help altogether . . .
IN THE GAME, players battle each other as they try to earn Favor from a god of their choice. The field is where the action takes place, comprised of 16 spaces. The spaces where you decide to place your cards must be chosen wisely, because wherever they are on the field determines how your cards interact with others—including your opponent.

Cthulhu Wars
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Cthulhu Wars is a highly asymmetrical board game in which players, rather than trying to stop ancient and unspeakable horrors from being unleashed into the world, are the ancient and unspeakable horrors fighting each other for dominion over the Earth. Each round, players will gather power based on how many gates they control and how many human cultists they have on the board, then use that power to move, summon monsters, fight, conquer gates, and unlock spell-books that give each faction even more unique abilities.

A game of Cthulhu Wars usually takes about 30 minutes to teach, and about 60-90 minutes to play. In my experience, new players often spend the first game figuring out their faction, and are often caught unawares by the special powers of the other factions. It is my intention to teach the game, and then play two or three games with the same group (thus the long play length time), giving players a chance to really see what the game is all about.

Car Wars 3-D Tournament

He triggered the rear guns once more. A direct hit! The blue car skidded as the driver lost control – then flipped and caught fire. That would teach him not to tailgate . . .

Car Wars is the game of the freeways of the future, where the right of way goes to the biggest guns. Players build vehicles complete with weapons, armor, power plants, and more. Then they take them out on the desolate roads, or maybe the brightly lit arenas, to come home as "aces," or to crash and burn.
The battlefield for the tournament is a 3-D arena upscaled from the Classic game.
No experience is necessary to play, both rookie duelists and veteran aces are welcome. Designs will be provided.

This tournament features 4 qualifier rounds, starting at 9, 11:30, 2, and 4:30, with a maximum of 8 players per round. Play in as many or as few qualifier games as you'd like - they are standalone games. The top two finishers from each qualifier round earn a seat at the final at 7.

Finalists may bring their own Division 30 arena-legal design (with 50 point characters) if they wish or use one provided by the host.
The overall victor of the tournament will take home a trophy to commemorate the event!

Throne of Allegoria Demos
In the land of Allegoria, Queen Gwendoline lies on her deathbed. Exactly how long she has left to live is uncertain. With no natural born heir to the throne, her realm rests on a sword's edge. Four houses, each represented by a champion of their own renown, vie to replace the ailing monarch and claim the Throne of Allegoria.
Reputation is fought for; influence hard won. Power is fleeting.
In Throne of Allegoria, players take on the role of the Lords and Ladies of Allegoria, all vying to become the next monarch, and prove their worthiness to succeed to the throne. They are supported by the realm's four most powerful houses: Roselie, the House of Roses; Culver-Lux, the House of Feathers; Antares, the House of Storms; and Umbral, the House of Shadows.
Over the course of six weeks, players need to make the best use of the local workforce, stake their claims, and win decisive battles in a tale of secrecy and supremacy. The player who has acquired the most influence at the end of the sixth week will be proclaimed the next monarch of Allegoria.

 Drive Offensively!

The winners of this tournament can play in the final at 7pm.

Beyond #MeToo: Resources for Dealing With Sexual Violence and Harassment
Limited Capacity seats available

There's no denying that sexual harassment, sexual assault, and intimate partner violence are serious problems in both the gaming industry and the gaming community at large. It's easy for outsiders to say "go to HR" or "go to the police," but those may not be viable or even desired options for all victims. This panel of attorneys will provide information on a variety of non-criminal legal options, as well as community resources to help victims find safety and support. We will be focusing as much as possible on low cost or no cost solutions, and legal responses that do not require an attorney. This panel is for anyone who may be experiencing, or has experienced, sexual violence, no matter their gender or sexual orientation. We also welcome anyone who wants to learn about options to help friends or family who are victims and may not feel comfortable attending themselves. Attendees will be provided with information packets for reference, and we will also have a system for asking questions anonymously during the Q&A section of the panel.

Due to the sensitive nature of this topic there will be no photography allowed in the panel room for the duration of the session.

Brinkwood - A Forged in the Dark Game
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Upwind RPG
Limited Capacity filling up

Imagine Bakshi’s classic animated film Wizards has a head-on collision with Disney’s Treasure Planet and the resulting fire was put out with a whole lot of Studio Ghibli’s Castle in the Sky. That, in an unexpected, animated mash-up is Upwind.

Explorer Knights patrol uncharted skies among the countless floating skylands of the Kingdoms in the Light. Their unique training has honed them into the greatest scholars, engineers and warriors in the Realms. Ancient technology, wondrous creatures, dangerous foes and the remnants of the DownFall are salvaged, challenged and explored by the Guild. The relics of a lost science and the hope they hold for the future lie waiting in the ruins of the Twilight Frontier.

The drifting kingdoms of the Kin are proud, contentious nations, diverse in history, tradition and belief. The dangerous routes between are plied by daring merchantmen and patrolled by Guild warships against pirates, sky dragons and the Children of the Dark. This ancient, enigmatic enemy again raids upwind of the Frontier and threatens all the Kin have rebuilt. Broadsides roar, Arc cannons spit lightning, Knights turn the very elements against their enemies and the Explorer Guild’s defiant fleet is all that stands between the Dark and the Light.

Upwind is a narrative RPG powered by the Q system, a stakes-based, playing card-driven mechanic that gives every encounter consequences with meaningful, story-building outcomes. With its simple bidding rules, Upwind plays as fast as you can tell your story.

Not Having Racism in your settings, campaign or at the table
Tabletop is growing and expanding, and with it there’s an increased need for diversity at the table. Let’s talk frankly about why racism at the table shouldn’t be a thing you do as a GM or player. Also, let’s get real about racism in our settings and campaigns, talk about what we can do to stamp it out as much as possible in a land where elves, orcs, and dragons roam but racism seems to be a never-ending boss battle.

Sorcerer
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Sorcerer is a 2-4 player dark fantasy game from the creators of Star Realms. It combines the best elements of a strategy card game and a tactical board game to create a whole new play experience!

Each game you will create a unique sorcerer by combining a Character Deck, a Lineage Deck, and a Domain Deck. Shuffle them together to form your grimoire (which contains your dark magic and evil minions) and you are ready to play!

Each deck also comes with a skill card. Together, they show your true name. For example, you might be Ariaspes the Demonologist of the Outcast Sanctuary.

Each turn of the game, players alternate spending actions to play spells, draw cards, gain energy, or play minions.

There are three different battlefields in the game representing different sections of Victorian London. When you play a minion, you must decide which battlefield to put it into. It may only attack and use its abilities in that battlefield. If you later decide you need it elsewhere, you may spend an action to move it to a neighboring battlefield.

After all player actions have been spent, minions do battle, rolling battle dice equal to their attack, damaging or destroying enemy minions, or even capturing the battlefield itself. If you capture 2 of the 3 battlefields, you win the game!

Castles & Crusades - The Wizard's Tower
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Castles & Crusades is a tabletop RPG with an old-school feel, known mostly for its easy to grasp rule set. This game should be suitable for players of any experience level. Pre-generated characters are available, but players are welcome to roll their own custom character if they desire. The GM will provide all necessary materials for the game.

In this module, our adventurers visit the village of Lead Hill, which has become the target of many hauntings as of late. While it all started with some rather innocuous mischief-making, the hauntings have escalated recently and have resulted in the deaths of a few village residents. Normally, the villagers would seek the aid of the wizard Andru, who lives in a great stone tower that overlooks the village. However, he has been curiously absent, and the villagers are desperate for help. They are offering a reward to anyone that can help subdue the evil presence and save their village from further mayhem.

Concordia Venus

Concordia is a “trading in the Mediterranean” Eurogame in which actions come by playing a card from your hand. One card allows you to build new outposts, one allows you to purchase new cards to add to your hand, one allows you take all of your previously played cards back into your hand, and so forth. Each of these cards (including ones you purchase) is also worth victory points at the end of the game (usually based on where you’ve built your outposts).

The Concordia Venus Expansion puts players into teams of two, who must try to coordinate their actions as best they can to their mutual benefit. Generally, each player will want to play a card that their partner can utilize as well, and the team with the most combined victory points will be the winners.

Brinkwood - A Forged in the Dark Game
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Songs in the Key of Geist
Limited Capacity filling up

This game comes from the Gauntlet's Codex - Bone Issue, a zine full of Indie TTRPGs & game hacks. Titled, Paranormal Minstrels, written by Mary Georgescu & Ray Olsen.

Welcome gentlepersons, to San Francisco, circa 1869! Four years after the end of the Civil War, and Twenty years after the infamous Gold Rush of the West, which turned a simple encampment on the Yerba Buena into the bustling city of San Francisco. There were still people of the Ohlone around, but if they didn't convert, they were forced out or worse. City expansion happened southward, pushing the newer immigrants out into the fringes. The city by the bay is full of bustling people, diverse cultures, and restless spirits.

So much supernatural activity started cropping throughout the city after the Gold Rush, that many speculated whether the acts of mining was related. It was enough that a prominent occult society formed a chapter near Portsmouth Square, one of the more well-regulated spiritual hotspots. The Resonant Society, known to the outside world as a meeting place for musicians, is actually a society of Paranormal Investigators, who use their musical talents for the sake of the good and the living.

Who are the Resonants? Why you all, of course. You investigate and mitigate paranormal activity for wealthy clients through the use of your instruments and their horrid, cantankerous melodies. You have trained many years for this moment.

You've been hired to calm the mind of a recently widowed mother, living in a large Victorian, to investigate the strange happenings inside the house, and the rumors of missing people in the area. Will you succeed in restoring balance to the land, or will your troupe slowly become host to restless and confused spirits?

Festo! Demos
It's a big feast in the magical kingdom of Gloutama, where you take on the role of an ever-hungry halfling that goes to the market to gather all sorts of wonderful ingredients from elves, dwarfs, pixies, trolls, orcs and wizards, so you can cook up dishes that will have every creature in the kingdom licking their fingers.
In each of four rounds in Festo!, players try to gather as many ingredients as they can by placing their servants by the different races in the game — but each round consists of two phases in which the players roll three dice that determine whether races are available this turn or not. Some races might be totally unavailable because of this, so players have to decide how many of their servants they want to place during each phase. Once this is done, majorities determine who gets what.
Who will be the cleverest of all halflings? Play Festo! and find out!

Rise of the Gods Demos
